Brad was born in Birmingham England October 1959, and was educated at a number of schools throughout the West Midlands, as his parents transferred frequently with work. Having a large extended family, Brad’s family has many interesting occupations.

His older brothers Mark and Alan joined the Army, (Mark retired as a Wing Commander in the RAF, Alan a Detective in the British Police, Laurie joined the RAF,(now working for a technology company). Noel was a mining engineer for many years.

Other family members in other walks of life are spread throughout the UK. Brad joined the British Merchant Navy in 1977, and joined P&O Cruises in the South Pacific as a ships steward on Arcadia, Canberra, Oriana and Sea Princess.

Brad was placed on standby during the Falklands War in 1982, he holds the Merchant Navy Services Medal and the Merchant Navy Queens Golden Jubilee Medal. Having travelled around the world at an early age, he migrated to New Zealand in 1983.

He married Janice Bishop (NZ National Athletics Champion) in 1984. They had met some years earlier. After working for a short time in the local hotel industry in New Zealand, Brad became involved in real estate in 1985.

By 1988 Brad was awarded a certificate of merit by his company Challenge Realty for being in the top 10% in the country for residential sales. Over the next few years he studied real estate management and became a qualified branch manager.

In 1994 he became an Associate of the Real Estate Institute New Zealand and formed PREMIER REALTY LIMITED. Over the next 7 years, Brad was an independant consultant for a local real estate company in Christchurch on real estate franchising.

Brad and Janice have 2 children, Bradley is a customs officer. Hayden is at high school, he enjoys ice skating.
