Janice has an extensive background in the banking sector, having worked for the National Bank for over 20 years and more recently Westpac Bank for over 7 years. During these years she held senior positions.
From a early age Janice showed very good athletics abilities and was a school representative at a number of levels. She became a national representative, having competed in the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland for New Zealand (Shot Put).
Janice has continued on her athletics into the veteran category and has been an enthusiastic competitor having competed at numerous events around the world. She has a swag of medals to her credit.
Her main events include shot put, discus, javelin, hammer, weight pentathlon, she has also been known to pole vault and high jump.
Outside work she is very 'crafty', she makes hand made greeting cards, she sews and makes a range of dolls, gollies and other items. Recently she has taken up painting and has several lovely pieces of art work hanging up around the home.
